Victuals and Vitamins is everything a good Junior League cookbook should be. The recipes feel fancy and are well written, but are more often than not simple to prepare. This is a cookbook that would be a fun project to cook through.

The Junior League of Greensboro, Incorporated, is happy to be able to present his 1952 revised edition of Victuals and Vitamins. We humbly thank the many contributors who so generously allowed us to publish this collection of recipes which they and their families have used successfully for many years, We have made no effort to cram within the covers of this book the answers to all the novice's questions. Rather we have attempted to collect and publish those outstanding recipes which we felt should be preserved. many of them had never been written down before. None of them belongs to the "add water and mix" group. Not every category has been included, and for various reasons, not every excellent recipe submitted could be used. However, it is our hope that these recipes which we have included will bring pleasure to you, your family, and your guests.

Condition: Good, front cover is worn. Front page has age and ink wear, but recipe and content pages are clean and ink is bright. Binding is worn but in excellent condition.
